Royal Jacquard, the most luxurious cashmere scarves, are made in arguably the most intricate handcrafted art. In order to create flowers and other patterns, the individual warp threads must be lifted at the right moment using punch cards. This art was developed in 1805 by Jean -Marie Jacquard.
